Zazu is an online market place, moving rural farmers into the modern capital markets in Africa. It has been created from the ground up in the thriving emerging marketplace by CEO Perseus Mlambo by embracing technology and putting creative ideas into workable structures; he states that "It's an exciting time for tech innovation because we are at an interesting time in which preconceptions of Africa are being shattered away, daily, by innovation". This case study not only shows how success can be made in lower income customer markets but in emerging markets as a whole. Financial services companies, providing financial inclusion and micro-lending services could learn from this founder's embracing of tech innovation within his specific business environment.
